FAQ: General Information

How can I register the respective ENUM domain of my conventional telephone number?

The registration of a conventional telephone number is performed in different steps:

  • First of all, you have to create a user account via “Register online” or login with an existing account.
  • The services of my-enum.at are paid with a credit account that can be “charged” by you via credit card. Therefore, you have to add to your credit balance by clicking the button “Charge” before the registration of your ENUM domain.
  • The specification of your address is also necessary in order to validate the registered telephone number. Please create a new address at “Contact data” / “Add address”, which must at least contain the following information:
    • First and last name
    • Company name (only for companies and organisations)
    • Street address
    • Postal code
    • City
    • Country
  • Now enter the number in the above box (“Add number”). Please note that the number must be specified correctly (no “0” in front of the area code, no phone extensions).
  • Choose one of the offered validation entities. Please pay regard to the validation costs of your inquiry (see “Costs”).
  • After a validation entity has been selected, please choose the relevant contact data of the new telephone number. This data must match the specified telephone number, as it is submitted to the validation office and acts as the basis for the verification of the usage rights.
  • Your inquiry was transmitted to the validation office now, which will possibly contact you in order to perform the verification of the usage rights.
  • After a successful completion of the validation your domain will be registered, and you can add records to your call number.
